Cancer Society.   Anita brings class, beauty, charm and much needed energy to the
Deep Sea band.
Thai / drums & vocals -  Originally from Japan, Thai began playing drums at an early
age influenced by the Big Swing bands of old. Later was introduced to jazz, pop,
Hawaiian & rock. Thai has been with the band since it's existence and  drops a solid
beat that drives the Deep Sea's rhythm section.
Bobby Apostol / lead guitar & vocals -  Born from clarinetists', Bobby started out
as "1st clarinet" for his elementary school orchestra.  But, Bobby loved to sing as
well, and you can't sing with a clarinet in your mouth, so he picked up the geetar and
never looked back.
Early influences were his father and (2) uncles who always seemed to have guitars in
hand and ready to entertain anyone who would listen.  Many times they couldnt
remember all the words to songs so they made them up. Thru his teens, he was
heavily influenced by: Zepp, VH, Rush & ACDC.  He started his first band "WHAT?" in
high school.  He also played guitar, keyboards and bass in various bands from high
school thru college.  Then in the early 90's he got hooked up with "the WoodBones".
This is where he was introduced to the blues:  SRV, BB King, Robert Cray, Robert
Johnson, Eric Clapton and even Jimi Hendrix. Bobby is very happy to be THE
GEETAR guy for "Deep Sea"
Allan Edmondson / keyboards & vocals -  Classically trained in piano, pre-virtuoso
at age 13.  Played in several rock bands in the L.A. area through the 70's and 80's
and played on countless recordings and hundreds of live shows. Also opening  acts
and backing bands for many oldies groups in the 80's such as; Chuck Berry, Mary
Wells, The Coasters, Drifters, tribute to the Shirelles, Al Wilson, and many others.
Learned to be a musical director in those days.
I enjoy playing praise music when I can at VMC in Ventura. It is good for the soul.
Without God's gifts and grace, none of this would be possible. I am grateful for the
support and love of my family in tolerating the often difficult schedules and travel that
are the music business.
Sal Avila / Saxaphone-  Sal has been playing the saxophone from age eleven.
Throughout the years Sal has developed a very distinct and expressive style all his
own.  If you ever hear anybody talking about Sal, you're more than likely  to hear
comments relating to his smooth, sweet, and open sound.  His soulfulness is
unmatched, and has been referred to as the "Latino with black soul."  Sal has played
with numerous bands throughout Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties including, The
Bomb, Rocky Navajo and Shonuff, Sound Effect, Nuestro, Changes, Anthony Prieto,
Oxnard City College Jazz Band, The Piru River Band, Missbehavin', The New Vibe,
and has sat in with numerous other bands and musicians.
Warren Takahashi/ rhythm guitar & vocals-   My first band was Point Zero in the
late 80s then it went on from their.  Reflections, Rebel Rouser, duo band Exclusives
with Joe Herrera and trio Moon & Sol with Anita & Thai to follow. Been with the Deep
Sea band for 4 years now loving every minute of it. I owe a big thanks to all my Family
& Friends and especially God for my strength & direction in life.
Mike Bucka / Bass Guitars-  Mike has been a musician since the age of 7,
beginning with violin, and as soon as he was tall enough at 11, started playing double
bass. He went electric in 1969 and never looked back, having played professionally
ever since. A personal student of Carol Kaye, he played the LA Club and Showcase
circuit in the mid-1970's providing the bottom end for a variety of rock, R&B, jazz, and
fusion groups. After a 20-year hiatus to raise a family, Mike is back in the Biz, happy
to be rockin’ and bluesin’ with Deep Sea.
